The WHISE project
WHISE was born from the union of climbing and nature.
A combination that guarantees increased performance for climbers and protection for our planet.
How it all started
WHISE came to life in early 2020 as a hobby. We started by building our own gym by reusing wooden beams and panels and began training by creating our first wooden holds. Today it is a concrete and collective initiative, willing to bring novelty to the climbing world.
Our goal is to create wooden climbing holds and tools using primarily recycled wood. After years of experimentation, we have developed several products that improve climbers’ athletic performance and promote a more sustainable relationship with the planet.
Since we discovered training with wooden holds and tools we can no longer do it without them. So we want to share our experience with you, trying to trasmit you all the fun and joy we feel in training while caring about our planet. Thanks to your support, we aim to take this project higher and higher.
WHISE: Wood Holds inspired by Innovation, Sustainability and Ergonomics.
What is the project about?
We use mostly recycled wood, derived from scrap from lumber mills and sawmills, urban and certified wood (FSC/PEFC) to create climbing holds and training gear. We want to bring the important values of environmental and social sustainability to the climbing market.
We turn what is waste for someone else into a valuable resource for your performance and adventures
Wood, an alternative!
Wood is a fantastic material! Aesthetically beautiful and kind to the skin of us climbers. It allows us to train harder and longer, without having to suffer from skin worn out by plastic holds. It ensures that we improve our athletic performance while preserving our skin for our outdoor projects.
An ecological thought!
Most WHISE products are made from recycled wood! What is waste for one company can become a vital resource for another. We are very careful to select the materials needed to produce our creations, ensuring high quality and minimizing waste.
